Perfect Pickles

If you're a pickle fan, this one's for you. You may never go back to store bought pickles after you do it yourself.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • ½ cup white or rice vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 garlic cloves smashed

SEASONING

  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of dried dill or 2 fresh twigs chopped
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seed
  • Heat Option: Red Pepper/Chili Flakes for heat
  • Zesty Option: ⅛ cup of juices of 1 medium lime or 1 teaspoon Tajin seasoning

COOK THIS

  • Slice cucumbers into round spears or haves.  Do not peel.
  • In a 16 oz mason jar or any jar container, add vinegar, water, garlic and seasonings.
  • Place the cut cucumbers into the jar and finish by filling with water to the top.
  • Refrigerate for 24 hours and enjoy! These will last up to 1 month.
