Crispy Broccoli
This brocolli recipe is tasty, fun, fast, and will compliment a multitude of main courses. It's so good that even some kids like it!
BROCCOLI
- 2 broccoli crowns
- 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
PARMESAN CHEESE SAUCE
- 1/2 stick / 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk, whipping cream, half & half
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper & garlic
- 1 cup shredded parmesan
BROCCOLI
- Cut broccoli at the stem into small bites/trees. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix eggs and water with a fork.
- Panko crumbs go in a separate bowl or small plate. Mix with salt, pepper & garlic.
- Dip the broccoli pieces in the egg mixture and then into the crumb mixture. Place into the air fryer tray/basket.
- Cook on the broccoli or vegetable setting (300F) for 15 min. Toss or flip midway. Then cook on high, 375-400F for 5 minutes or until browned.
PARMESAN CHEESE SAUCE
- In a small saucepan, add butter, milk/cream, salt and pepper on low/medium until butter is melted and the mixture is almost boiling.
- Slowly add parmesan, mixing constantly until creamy. Set aside.
- Serve hot and top it off with the cheesy sauce.
OPTIONAL OVEN BAKE
- You may want to do this in an oven which is fine! Cook time may be slightly longer on the first bake - 375F for 15 minutes. Raise the temp to 400-425F to brown for about 5 min.
