15-Minute Garlic Butter Shrimp

Garlic butter shrimp in a skillet with parsley and lemon wedges

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant β€” don’t let it burn.
  4. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2 minutes per side until pink and just curled.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over everything. Toss with parsley.
  6. Serve immediately. This waits for no one.

Notes

Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to mop up every drop of that garlic butter. Also great over a simple arugula salad for a lighter meal.
